Rules
Mission Raceway Park / NHRA RulesCar and Driver Eligibility:
- All vehicles must be accompanied by the registered owner.
- All drivers must have a valid drivers license.
- All vehicles must be capable of meeting the NHRA safety requirements.
Street Cars:
- All vehicles must be street driven, display valid license plates (or temporary permit), have proof of vehicle registration and valid insurance.
- All vehicles must run D.O.T. approved street tires (except cars in the Outlaw Class).
- All vehicles must be equipped with mufflers and a functional exhaust system that extends at least behind the drivers seat. The maximum allowable noise limit is 90db.
- All vehicles require functioning headlights and taillights.
- Race Electronics are NOT PERMITTED (ie: delay box, throttle stops etc.) Nitrous Controllers OK

Basic Tech Rules & Regulations:
- All cars must have seat belts.
- All cars require a 16oz or larger radiator overflow can.
- All vehicles must drain antifreeze prior to racing (except 1995 or newer stock cars and trucks with sealed factory coolant system). Bring a plastic container.
- No plastic or glass fuel filters allowed.
- No plastic oil pressure lines allowed.
- All vehicles must have a functional neutral safety switch.
- All batteries must be securely mounted (no bungee cords, rope, wire etc) Relocated batteries please see NHRA Rulebook.
- The trunk and passenger compartment of the vehicle must be empty prior
- to racing.
- Drivers must wear pants and long sleeve shirts ( no shorts or T-Shirts allowed).
- Drivers of cars running 13.99 or quicker are required to wear a NHRA Approved Snell 95 or newer helmet.
- Cars running 12.99 or quicker will require a driveshaft loop.
- Cars running 11.49 or quicker must have an approved roll bar, SFI belts & jacket.
- Cars running 10.99 or quicker must have approved aftermarket axles and harmonic balancer.
- Cars running 9.99 or quicker must have approved roll cage.
All vehicles must be capable of meeting the NHRA safety requirements according to the vehicles ET and MPH capability ( for further information regarding Safety Requirements please refer to the 2006 NHRA Rule Book - available at most high performance automotive shops throughout Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley, & at The Souvenir Stand at the track).
